Captain’s Log – Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using the Captain’s Log mobile application (“App”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”).
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App.

2. Description of the Service

Captain’s Log is an entertainment-focused mobile application that offers features including, but not limited to:

  • Personal log creation with text, images, and audio

  • Memory card games

  • Quiz games

  • Soundboard

  • StarDate calculator

  • 3D model viewing

  • Daily missions and achievements

  • Profile customization

The App is intended for entertainment purposes only.

3. User Data and Storage

3.1 Local Storage

All personal content—including log entries, images, audio recordings, game statistics, and preferences—is stored locally on your device.
We do not store or process this data on our servers.

You are solely responsible for backing up your data.
We are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, uninstallation, or misuse.

3.2 User Content

You retain full ownership of all user-generated content.
You agree that:

  • You are responsible for the content you create

  • Your content will not violate any law or third-party rights

  • You will not upload or create harmful, abusive, or illegal content

4. Permissions and Privacy

The App may require access to:

  • Microphone (for audio logs)

  • Camera (for taking photos)

  • Photo Library (for selecting or saving images)

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 App Content

All design elements, features, and functionalities within the App are owned by the developer.
All trademarks and media elements referenced in the App remain the property of their respective owners.

Captain’s Log is a fan-made application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CBS Studios Inc., Paramount Pictures, or any Star Trek franchise entity.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of your content.
You grant the App a limited, non-exclusive license to display your content locally within the App only.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

  • Infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property

  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt App functionality

  • Reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App

  • Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the App

  • Misuse, exploit, or interfere with any feature or service

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, including cases of:

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Misuse of the App

  • Illegal or harmful activities

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding Captain’s Log and supersede prior agreements or understandings.
